I was hit in the head, am I okay?

I went with a group kayaking, and all the sudden the weather turned really bad. It was windy and it started to strom. As we were trying to get off the river, a piece of debris hit me on the head, it basically hit me on the top of the left side of my skull. I was still able to kayak afterwards and run to safety. I did have a headache afterwards but I took some medicine and I was fine. I dont have a headache today and the only pain I have is one someone touches the area that got hit. But everyone is telling me that Im going to have a hemmorage like Bret Michaels because I got hit in the head, and now Im scared. I had no problem driving, eating, talking, etc...am I okay?!
