How to verify paypal?

Ok so someone was telling me that i can verify paypal with a visa debit card, is this true? also i went over to cvs today and saw the visa debit cards but i noticed there were two kinds, one was prepaid visa debit then the other was a visa debit gift card, so which one do i need to verify my payapl with?
